Those of you who backed our Moonray campaign will know that the past month has been relatively crazy over here, even for our typical overworked standards. I sent out more than 500 packages in a nine-day period to fulfill that campaign, with more to come as a few other campaign surveys (and new orders!) trickle in.And yes, that means that Moonray will soon be in a comic store near you! How soon? Well, tomorrow, in fact! Moonray Book One will be in comic stores Wednesday October 18th, and has in fact already made it to the shelves of a few stores who directly purchased the book from us. If you’ve been waiting, now is definitely the time to pick it up!You can now also get your copy directly from us as well along with all of our other books! For bulk orders, send us a message.  As I mentioned in a previous email, this is in fact only the first book in what promises to be a series of Moonray books, the second of which should be out as early as April 2024 (and which Brandon and Xurxo are currently finishing). Publishing Brandon’s work is a dream come true, and it’s been a real pleasure to put together such a stunning book. As part of the promo campaign for the book, Brandon will be doing a handful of signings as well, the first of which will be at Los Angeles’ legendary Golden Apple Comics on Saturday October 28th! The event will last from 1-3 PM PST.I’ve also been very pleased to see reviews rolling in, including this spoiler-light one from Obscurities in Miniature. … and lest you think that it’s All Moonray, All the Time from here on out, just a reminder that March 2024 will bring Tihku, an exciting anthology of Finnish cartoonists from collective Kutikuti. As well as a host of other books next year! I’m working on finalizing the next few now, and we’ll hopefully have a pretty major announcement on… Halloween??! Hmmm. All the best,Sean Robinson |
