Massive! Overwhelming! All-Consuming!

Friends, The past two months at Living the Line have been… a lot. Let’s begin with the obvious: the absolutely ludicrous one-man fulfillment on Brandon Graham’s PIllow Fight.

Pillow Fight 1
Massive! Overwhelming! All-consuming!Pillow Fight enters your mailbox with swagger and confidence…

It was almost TWO MONTHS of fulfillment for Brandon Graham’s new all-color 80-page expanded Pillow Fight, and a second publication, a bonus 60-page sketchbook of completely unseen, completely NSFW sketchbook goodness. And while a picture tells a thousand words, these pictures aren’t quite communicating the smell of book glue, which I used to adhere various extras to the printed books. If you missed it, don’t fear. Overprinted copies are available on the website now!

In the interest of public accountability: I am hereby publicly declaring that this will be the last Kickstarter I will ever fulfill by myself. There is an unresolvable tension between wanting you all to get amazing complicated stuff, and then actually having to fulfill every aspect myself.Fortunately, our new distributors CRWN Studios also happen to be experts in fulfillment. Future campaigns will be handled by them.
Harpy Front page
HARPY Making Waves

Steer over to The Comics Beat for a look at Harpy, a late-breaking contender for the hardest-hitting science-fiction graphic novel of 2025. A massive 308-page book that brings the dystopian 2060s into unnervingly plausible focus. In Harpy, competence and class division grind together with revenge and obsession, forging a graphic novel that stands proudly in the lineage of Shirow, Otomo, and Druillet—brutal, cerebral, sensual, and impossible to ignore. And from the creator, Mr. EPHK himself: “I gave 2 whole years of my life to make this fat brick… It’s the best and the hardest and the most work I ever put into anything.”

What’s Next
Next Kickstarter: CONSIGNED — a special anthology featuring Living the Line creators past and future, a fundraiser for our ongoing legal efforts to get our stock and payments back from our former distributor. Confirmed contributors include Ryan Holmberg, Troy Nixey, Lonnie Nadler, Carson Grubaugh, Brandon Graham, Garresh, Jason Little, Miel Vandepitte, Bonten Taro, Hanelle (Kutikuti), Erik Kriek, myself, and more. Not many publishers this size would have survived this past year of legal shenanigans and tumultuous changeovers. That we have is entirely a tribute to the incredible audience we have, and the incredible work done by our cartoonists.Truly some of the greatest and most interesting in the world. Thank you for being part of it.
