Hello everyone! I hope your winter is going great. It’s been a busy season for Living the Line, as our latest cluster of books have either been released (Tihku, preorders out, bookstores and comic stores in a rolling release!) or have been printed and are currently being freighted from overseas (Her Frankenstein), or are in some other point in the production cycle (too many to name!). But the latest to hit the preorder stage is ALMOST here— Moonray: Echoes of Ascension, the second book in our soon-to-be-classic science fantasy series Moonray, by Brandon Graham and Xurxo G. Penalta! The title was a smash on Kickstarter last summer, and we’re rolling out a new campaign for this second book tomorrow–Thursday 3-7-2024! You can follow our pre-launch page at this link to be notified the moment we launch. As we did in the previous campaign, we’ll have special exclusive items for Kickstarter orders, but will also have a streamlined “just the book ma’am” tier. The book is stunning, and develops the themes and plot of the first book in truly exciting and unexpected ways. A second bit of news– I (Sean) will be in attendance at MoCCAArtFest this year, March 16th and 17th (Saturday and Sunday) in New York City. Those of you who have been before will know what an amazing show it can be, and it’ll be made even more incredible this year by the presence of Living the Line authors Matt Battaglia (House on Fire) and Miel Vandepitte (Centralia)! Yes, Miel is travelling all the way from Europe for the show, to sign and sketch books for you, and to participate in a MoCCA panel on environmental design in comics. He’ll also be at an SVA event on Friday night, open to students only.If you’re anywhere near the area, I hope you’ll come by and see us!There’s lots more to say, but not a lot of time to say it, so let me just end my saying how much I appreciate the support you all have given this tiny (but growing) publishing enterprise. Here’s to another season of great comics.
